Vanga: a business idea from a Bulgarian executive

The blind old woman, the "prophetess", who thundered around the world in the middle of the twentieth century, brought little Bulgaria not only worldwide fame, but also huge injections into the budget. To this day, hundreds of thousands of people continue to believe in her "prophecies," and various scammers are making money from her memory.

It is noteworthy that it is not possible to determine which denomination Wang belonged to. What she said to the visitor was consistent with his own ideas about the world. She spoke to a strict Orthodox as an Orthodox, to a Catholic as a Catholic, communicated appropriately with a follower of "folk beliefs," and so on. In some cases, she spoke about extraterrestrials, in others about the teachings of Roerich and Blavatsky. She told each visitor, in fact, what he wanted to hear. It will be explained below how this became possible, but for now, a little bit about the inventor of this Bulgarian know–how, the then leader of the country, Todor Zhivkov. He was a strange, cunning and cautious man, but he was considered one of the most liberal leaders of the Eastern Bloc countries. Those who are now over forty say that they went to fraternal Bulgaria for a "sip of freedom."

Zhivkov, when he first came to power, got a small, pathetic and worthless country. The majority of its inhabitants were illiterate peasants, the entire "flower of the nation" was destroyed long ago by the Ottoman Turks. By the end of Zhivkov's reign, Bulgaria was a state with a developed industry, in some areas even ahead of the Soviet Union (for example, in the field of high technology – Bulgaria supplied computers and power tools to the USSR, in particular the famous "Bulgarians"). Naturally, such a successful development required a lot of money, which had to be obtained from somewhere. The USSR's help was clearly not enough – the empire was "not rubbery" after all. And the Bulgarians had no particular desire to keep up with the Soviet Union, just like the Poles, Czechs, Hungarians and Germans of the GDR. The unity and cohesion of the Eastern Bloc did not prevent these countries from developing independently enough that, unfortunately, the Soviet leaders once "got wind" and invaded Czechoslovakia.

But Czechoslovakia, Poland, and the GDR are still "Western" countries, whose populations were distinguished by appropriate thinking, and the level of development was initially quite high. Bulgaria had nothing to offer the world. But, as we have already said, a cunning and enterprising man has risen to power. Watch USA online porn https://mat6tube.com teens, milfs, matures!
